My interest in childhood cancer research is deeply personal. My mother was diagnosed with aplastic anemia (while not a cancer it is treated very similarly) during her childhood and benefited immensely from the support of CURE Childhood Cancer, an organization based in Atlanta dedicated to funding research and providing support to families of children with cancer. Growing up and hearing about her journey and the life-saving impact of such an organization has inspired me to want to run for this cause.

I am running for Tackle Kids Cancer because it is an organization that also raises crucial funds for pediatric cancer research and patient care programs

In the past, I have actively raised funds for childhood cancer research. From 5th to 12th grade, my mother and I ran a beading company, through which we raised over $10,000 for childhood cancer research. This experience not only strengthened my commitment to the cause but also taught me the importance of community and perseverance.

I am excited to have been given the opportunity to support Tackle Kids Cancer in this marathon. I am confident that with your sponsorship, we can make a significant difference in the lives of children battling cancer. Your support would help me to raise more funds and get increased awareness for childhood cancer research. All money raised will benefit the Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health and will help their littlest patients become kids again!

I care about finding a cure for pediatric cancer, and I hope you do, too! The Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health has stood as a beacon of hope for children and families dealing with pediatric cancer…but more can be done. Pediatric cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease among children in the US and only 4% of cancer research dollars are allocated to pediatric cancer. These facts are devastating, but the doctors at the Children’s Cancer Institute are working tirelessly to find a cure. Please support us and help end childhood cancer!

Raising money to find a cure is a marathon – not a sprint!  We have a long way to go, and every dollar helps!  Even $20 would make a big difference for the pediatric cancer patients at the Children's Cancer Institute.
