At the start of this year, I made a promise to myself: run a marathon before I turn 31. It’s always been one of those big “someday” goals, and now? It’s happening. I completed my first half marathon in May!!! and this November, I’ll be running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon—my first full 26.2.
But this race isn’t just about crossing something off my bucket list. I’m running for something much bigger than myself.
I’m proud (and honestly a little emotional) to be running for Tackle Kids Cancer—an amazing organization funding pediatric cancer research and supporting families going through the unimaginable. Their work is about giving kids the chance to grow up, and giving families hope when they need it most.
As an EMT, I’ve seen how life can change in an instant. I’ve seen what strong, compassionate, expert care can mean to someone in crisis—especially when it’s a child. No kid should have to fight cancer. No family should have to go through it alone. That’s why this cause hits so close to home for me.
This marathon? It’s not just about the miles. It’s about showing up for those who don’t get to just be kids—the ones in hospitals, undergoing treatments, and fighting battles they never should’ve had to face in the first place.
So here’s the deal:
I’ve committed to raising money for Tackle Kids Cancer, and I’d genuinely appreciate your support. Whether it’s $10, $50, or just sharing this with someone who might want to help—every bit matters. All the money goes straight to research, patient care, and support for families who are going through hell.
This marathon isn’t just about finishing 26.2 miles. It’s about doing something that actually matters—for kids who deserve to just be kids, not cancer patients.
If you can donate, awesome. If you can share this, thank you. Either way—you’re helping me turn this run into something way bigger than just a race.
Thanks for being in my corner. It means more than you know.
