Dear Friends, 

This year I will be participating in the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Tackle Kids Cancer to raise funds in support of pediatric cancer. All donations will benefit the Children's Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health which includes the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital. Last year our team raised over $150,000 for this outstanding cause, our goal is to surpass that amount this year. 

Thanks to better therapies and treatments, more than 80% of United States childhood cancer patients become long term survivors. However despite tremendous advancements, it was heart breaking to learn that pediatric cancer is still the #1 cause of death by disease among children in America and only 4% of cancer research dollars are allocated for pediatric cancer. Imagine how devastating it would be to know that your child has cancer. 

Finding a cure truly is a marathon and more funding is needed for research and helping families with clinical care and support services. A donation of any amount would be tremendously appreciated.
