will be participating in the NICUSTRONG Walk 2022. All money raised funds innovative treatment, cutting-edge equipment, much-needed research and support for our babies and families of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hackensack Meridian Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital.

As you are all aware, in 2013 I went into preterm labor with Rapahel and Sebastian at 24 weeks, I was admited quickly and the doctors, nurses and staff were able to keep my boys in until 25 weeks 3 days.

The morning of August 7th, 2013 was filled with so many emotions, becoming a mom for the first time, welcoming faternal twin boys and the fear of the complete unknow.

Giving birth to these boys so early put my life in a direction I never could have imagined. Life paused for us.....

So tiny and so innocent, I put my failth in God, the doctors, nurses and staff. They were amazing, they let me cry, ask all my questions and celebrated all the good moments, even if they were so small. Sadly I did not carry both my boys home on November 10th, 2013 after 94 days. Sebastion passed away, he was so tiny and fought so hard, both mommy and daddy were present for his first breath and last.

Every day I am so thankful for the NICU, if it wasnt for this amazing place my Rapahel would not be the most amazing 9 year old boy, in love with basketball, traveling and his younger brother Lazaros. We tell him stories of his birth and he is aware of the scars he has, and how they are battle wounds, that tell his story of survial.
