Hi friends, 

I'm running the TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 to raise funds in support of pediatric cancer research and to help Tackle Kids Cancer (TKC). All money raised will benefit The Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health and will help their youngest patients become kids again! Cancer has profoundly impacted nearly everyone in some way, whether through personal experience, family, friends, or colleagues, the far-reaching effects of cancer are undeniable. Almost everyone has been touched by cancer in some way, making the fight against this terrible disease a universal and deeply personal endeavor. I'm running this year for my family members that have overcome this terrible disease (my Uncle Chae, my Aunt, and my Paternal Grandmother), and for my Maternal Grandmother who passed away this past year.  

Running a marathon is something that I've always wanted to do and said that I would do, and now I'm finally doing it! I want to prove to myself that I'm able to physically and mentally overcome this challenge while also fundraising for The Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health. 

The Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health has stood as a beacon of hope for children and families dealing with pediatric cancer…but there is so much more that can be done. Pediatric cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease among children in the US and only 4% of cancer research dollars are allocated to pediatric cancer. These facts are devastating, but the doctors at the Children’s Cancer Institute are working tirelessly to find a cure. Please support us and help end childhood cancer!

Raising money to find a cure is a marathon – not a sprint (just like my training; check out my Strava if you want more running content)! We have a long way to go, and every dollar helps! Even $10 would make a tremendous difference for the pediatric cancer patients at the Children's Cancer Institute.
