About Take a Walk in Our Genes: Established in 1979, The Center for Genetic and Genomic Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center has been at the forefront of clinical genetics in northern New Jersey for almost forty years. We are a comprehensive clinical genetics practice offering risk assessment, evaluation, and testing in the areas of preconception/prenatal, pediatric, adult, and hereditary cancer genetics, along with personalized management and supportive counseling for genetic conditions.  Our team includes compassionate, highly skilled, board certified medical geneticists, genetic counselors, metabolic dietitian, medical assistants and administrative support staff.  As genetics has become an integral component of clinical diagnosis and care, our team regularly consults with numerous specialties within the Hackensack Meridian Health network to support continuity of care for the patients.

About Genetics Services: The Center for Genetic and Genomic Medicine is a leader in clinical genetics in the metropolitan area and has been in existence for more than 30 years, offering genetic services and testing for both children and adults. All patients are seen by board-certified medical geneticists and/or genetic counselors in the areas of preconception/prenatal, cancer, pediatric, and adult genetics. Patients are evaluated for risk assessment, testing, and management, as well as supportive counseling. Our goal is to improve the lives of our patients by providing them with the important information they need to make the best possible decisions.
