Linda's Leashes Fundraiser
Join us in our effort to honor the memory of Linda Haasz by supporting therapy dogs at Raritan Bay Medical Center and Old Bridge Medical Center. Linda's Leashes will directly support The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs program.
The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to training, evaluating and qualifying people and their well-behaved dogs as therapy dog teams. Founded in 1999 and authorized in all 50 states, Bright & Beautiful has certified more than 14,000 members and dogs.
The therapy dog teams provide unconditional love, offer friendship, boost self-esteem, provide solace and relieve loneliness and boredom for children, adults, and senior citizens in a wide variety of circumstances.
Linda devoted almost 33 years to Hackensack Meridian Health, first at OBMC and then at RBMC since 2012. Linda worked as a unit assistant on 5 Gold Telemetry.
In April 2024, Linda told Colleen Kayser, nurse manager, she wasn’t feeling great and went to the ED. After she was diagnosed with pneumonia and admitted, subsequent tests revealed she had metastatic cancer.
Throughout her treatment and stay Linda wanted her 5 Gold Team to know how much they meant to her. “I’ve been very lucky. I want everyone to know how much I want to say thank you for everything. You’ve always been there for me. You’ve never let me down. I love you all.”
We invite you to honor Linda's memory with a gift to Raritan Bay Medical Center. Every dollar raised, no matter the size, has an impact for our community. Thank you for joining with us to make a difference.
