In Memory of Lawrence Morra
Please join my family and I in honoring the memory of Lawrence Morra.
My father was treated by the continuum of care from Jersey Shore University Medical Center's (JSUMC) entire cardiac service line (Cath Lab, Cardiac Surgery and Advanced Heart Failure teams), our nephrology teams (stage 4 kidney disease) and also was a patient on our Medically Home program last month following his May 2024 readmission. More specifically since 2022 he had multiple stents placed in the JSUMC cath lab with stays on A3E, followed by an emergent CABGx3 with Dr. Asgarian creating a complex month long recovery period in the CVICU and NW2 with those amazing cardiac teams. Since 2022 he has had multiple readmissions requiring inpatient stays and the team members from the departments mentioned above, in addition to the Emergency Department teams; all knew my father by name and made an instrumental impact on his ability to have more time with his family the last few years.
He passed away in the MICU on Tuesday and that team treated him with the most compassionate care until he took his last breath. My family and I would like to honor all nursing as he traveled through so many areas of the hospital for the last few years and so many amazing professionals interacted with him.
