When is the Virtual Walk of Hope?

Saturday, September 26, 2020

Join us at 10AM @ www.facebook.com/carrierclinic for Facebook LIVE Video!

Is the event Rain or Shine?

YES, the Walk of Hope is RAIN OR SHINE!

Where is the Walk of Hope?

The entire event takes place VIRTUALLY, therefore you can be anywhere.

How long is the actual walk?

In the past, the Walk of Hope was a 1 mile loop around the Carrier Clinic Campus. However, this year participants are welcome to walk anywhere for a 1 mile distance or less or longer.  There are several other activities participants can do that is fun for the whole family or team. The Walk of Hope is an important fundraising campaign for Carrier Clinic. Our goal for this event is to raise funds for and awareness about mental illness. One in five people will suffer with a mental illness at some point in their lives, Carrier Clinic is there to help those who need treatment.

Is there a registration fee? Is there a minimum amount required?

We do not charge a registration fee and we do not require that participants raise a specific amount of money, however, this is an important fundraising campaign for Carrier Clinic and the people we serve, and we ask everyone to try to participate in the fundraising.  No donation is too small, and every donation makes an important difference in the lives of the people counting on us.

How can I participate?

Virtual Individual Participant

Since you cannot join us on the day of the event, you can register as a virtual walker and still support this important cause.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we want to make sure our community remaims safe and healthy. We know that people have to work, have family obligations, or aren’t feeling well, and we understand that you still want to be part of this event.  That is why we created the “VIRTUAL WALKER”.  Simply check the virtual walker selection in the registration process and you are on your way to helping us raise funds and awareness.  Don’t forget to set up your personal page and send emails telling all of your friends and family that you are participating in the event.  We even give you sample emails to make it super easy!

Team Participant/Team Captain

You can register and join an existing team or start your own team. Just follow the prompts to set up your team page and your personal page.

What is a “Team”?

A team is a group of your family, friends, and colleagues who participate with you in support of this important cause.  Any number of people can make up a team.  We encourage teams to be creative by using poster boards that would mimic those of the Walk of Hope Conquer Boards. "I want to conquer ...."(you fill in the blank).  Use the hashtag #2020WALKOFHOPE. Create a team tee shirt with the best inclusion of the mission of Carrier Clinic in the design of their tee shirt.  It’s fun to participate together!
