Please show your support for the Run for Sue Committee and the Egan Family by making a donation to Kyle’s Team. Though we are sad we will not be able to host this year’s 5K due to COVID-19, we need your support now more than ever. Your donation will support a fundraising initiative at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center in memory of Saddle River resident and Bergen Catholic student, Kyle Egan. Kyle was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in January 2018, and passed away in November 2019 following a courageous battle. A Teen Lounge for oncology patients would allow young patients that are undergoing treatment to come together and socialize with one another rather than feel isolated in their hospital rooms.  

Kyle was a part of his High School Cross Country and Track teams and inspired his teammates both on and off the track. He participated every year in the Susan Zabransky Hughes Memorial Run, including this past year. Kyle’s positive attitude remained throughout his cancer treatments. He brought joy and comfort to others by playing the piano throughout his illness.
Donations made to Kyle's Team will positively impact the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center where Kyle received his cancer treatments, and help build a lasting legacy in Kyle’s name.
