We are raising money to support the Hackensack NICU. Violet & Dakota were born at 31 weeks and spent 35 days there. We are forever grateful of the care they received there. We are so lucky because not all babies get to graduate from the NICU. We are so lucky because for the most part, Violet & Dakota will out grow their prematurity and as time passes, they will catch up to their actual age.

As a Mom, it was very hard to see my tiny little babies fighting for their lives. It was very hard for me to accept that instead of growing inside me, they would have to grow in the hospital, in an isolette, with the help of their amazing care team. But as all parents know, we have little control over our children and we just make the best of the situation.

This event means so much to us, we can finally gather in person and celebrate the nurses and doctors who helped our babies and to break down the walls of isolation from COVID.

Last year, we raised over $2,000 for the NICU. I am hopeful that we can surpass that amount this year with your help.

Last years' funds went to support a greatly needed family support coordinator at the hospital. Now, that person has been hired and has already started to make an impact for NICU families.
