High on a rooftop, there is a place where pediatric patients can simply be children at play. Josephine’s Garden, in the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC, was inspired and designed by a vibrant and creative child who loved and longed for the outdoors. “Josephine’s Garden keeps Josephine’s memory alive,” says Heidi Hartung-Rispoli, an artist who designed the garden with her daughter and now works on behalf of children with cancer to honor her.
I care about finding a cure for pediatric cancer, and I hope you do, too! The Children’s Cancer Institute at HackensackUMC has stood as a beacon of hope for children and families dealing with pediatric cancer…but more can be done. Pediatric cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease among children in the US and only 4% of cancer research dollars are allocated to pediatric cancer. These facts are devastating, but the doctors at the Children’s Cancer Institute are working tirelessly to find a cure. Please support me and help end childhood cancer!
With your support, I hope to reach my goal. Even $20 would make a big difference for the pediatric cancer patients at HackensackUMC.
Thank you for supporting me and I encourage you to take Eli’s Challenge as well! Registration is quick and easy…click the Join A Team button and complete the registration process. Together we can make a bigger impact in this fight against pediatric cancer.
