Hi my name is Joshua J. Shaw, and I am going to be running in the 2023 NYC Marathon this coming November.

I have been a runner for the past 13 years, and along the way I have gotten to run with some amazing friends, see astonishing views, and managed to get my steps in since I was 12.

Running has taken me across the world, and allowed me to run on 5 different continents, as well as a few oceans. I have run on the original olympic track in Greece, I have ran through the hills of Rwanda, and all over the roads, trails, and fields of rural Pennsylvania. However, up until now I have never had the privilege to run in the greatest race, in the greatest city in the world, the NYC Marathon.

Not only am I proud to be running in this monumental event, but I am honored to do so while representing the Tackle Kids Cancer Team. Tackle Kids Cancer helps to fund and support researchers in their mission to stop pediatric cancer.

Unfortunately, this research is widely underfunded. Only 4% of cancer research dollars are allocated to pediatric cancer, while it remains as the leading cause of death by disease among children in the US.

However, we can change that! By donating to this outstanding organization we can help fund this life saving research. Any amount can make a big difference for the pediatric cancer patients at the Children's Cancer Institute.

It's my privilege to help raise money so that these doctors and researchers can continue their valiant efforts to put an end to childhood cancer.
