As a health care organization that cares deeply about the well-being of our communities, Hackensack Meridian Health has been closely following the guidance from the CDC and state and local health officials on the coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of our colleagues, volunteers and supporters is our top priority. To that end, we will be following the CDC’s recommendation and instead of gathering in person, this year we will be hosting the Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation and K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital Golf Classic as a virtual fundraiser. Although this will be a big change, we are excited about finding new ways to connect with each other and our community, and to come together virtually in support of our frontline caregivers who are working 24/7 to offer expert, compassionate care to our patients. All gifts to support the virtual fundraiser will now be 100% tax deductible and without event expenses, will be directed in full to support the medical center at a time when it is needed most. We will email the link to the virtual event program, which will include a campus update and meaningful recognition of our frontline caregivers.
